If you follow Damian on his Tumblr, you’ll notice his ability to capture people in very candid poses, almost like they didn’t even realize he had a camera on him. Seeing Sharky in Portland can be described as seeing a “ball of muscle” wound up and spinning on his track bike. Brenton happened to get a great shot of Sharky at rest, with his knee tattoos in focus. Great photo man.

If you’ve been a regular at any NYC alleycat in the past decade, chances are you’ve seen Daniel Leeb there with an entire crew documenting it. He’s been compiling video for the past ten years and has reached the point where he’s ready to do something with it. From the looks of the trailer, Messengers is a documentary about alleycats in NYC, following two key figures: Felipe and Alfred.

Chas has been talking about doing this for some time now and honestly, I’d rather watch this than a track bike hill bomb. So good!

From the velodrome to the streets… CMWC was last weekend in Chicago and while there is more coverage coming to the site shortly, I had to post up this photo Peter from COG magazine took of the classic LeMans race start. I love the energy these starts create. Great photo Pete!

There have been a few events over the past few months that I’ve really wanted to attend. The Beast of the East being one of them. I really wanted to ride along with the guys and document this messenger stage race to the 2012 NACCC and I haven’t seen a whole lot of photos from the event. That was until Chris emailed me a link to his Tumblr. Check the rest out here!

It’s not every day that a magazine contacts me to submit content for a forthcoming issue. So when they do, I’m usually pretty pumped. Case in point: the new Embrocation.
