The East Side of Austin is home to the Pedal Pushers. Nestled on 5th street, next to the train tracks, this small local bike shops caters to the everyday cyclist. The shop itself is rich in texture and personality, just how I like it.

Bike shops like this are some of my favorite spaces. Products are hung from the ceiling, making use of every square inch of space.
Chalk-board tool boards.
Notes and posters hanging within the customer’s line of sight.
I don’t know why I have a fascination with bench vices. Especially in bike shops.
Loved this sign.
Lee and the crew, busy at work.
I’ve said this before: what ever is in the repair stand at any given moment tells a lot about a shop’s customer.
As you walk in, this product wall displays some of the shop’s offerings.
And as you leave, you’re reminded to be kind to cyclists.
If you’re in Austin and find yourself in need of a quick wrenching, swing through the East Side Pedal Pushers! Thanks for chatting with me Lee! I took some more photos and they’re up on my Flickr.
