For today’s Readers’ Rides, we look at Sepie’s beautiful Breadwinner B-Road. Read on below for words and photos by Sepie!
Greetings, dear readers! With some help from the lovely folks at The Radavist, I’d like to share my prized Breadwinner B-Road with you.
This steel stallion is my do-it-all bike. I have a few sets of wheels, courtesy of the fine folks at Sugar Wheel Works, that I alternate between depending on where I’ll be riding. The quick wheel-swapping makes this bike extremely versatile. For mostly paved or light off-road rides, I’ll opt for my Astral Outback 700c wheels. If I’ll be hitting the rough stuff, I’ll throw on my Astral Wanderlust 650b wheels for more volume and extra bite.
I’ve never dabbled with Di2 or eTap before this bike but I’m super impressed at the battery life and shifting performance. Of course, your mileage may vary but the 1x setup and my shifting behavior has allowed me to get away with charging the battery once every month or so with plenty of life left. I decided to opt for the GRX and XT Di2 combo so I could natively run a super wide range cassette (11-46T) without any third-party modifications and it has been a delight!
Ira, Tony and the fine folks at Breadwinner and Sugar Wheel Works are modern day wizards in their craft. They really outdid themselves with this build which I’m so incredibly pleased with.
