John and Cari were in Australia earlier this month, and since they were on the same continent as Matt and Cheech from Crust Bikes, they had to visit them at their home in New South Wales. While there, John documented a selection of bikes from their shed, including some prototypes and soon-to-be-released future cult classics. Let’s check it all out!

Paul Component Baby Groovy Barrel Adjusters

Paul Component Baby Groovy Barrel Adjusters

Our buddies at Paul Component Engineering based the original Groovy Barrel Adjusters from Magura’s 1970s adjusters, but scaled them down by 50%. The original Magura adjusters were massive, so you could adjust your moto cables through thick gloves. Now, they’ve gone even smaller with these cute Baby Groovy Barrel Adjusters ($20 – $60). You can use these on everything from brake levers, calipers, derailleurs, or hangers.

Paul precision-machines these in HOT ass (it’s supposed to hit 110º today) Chico California from 6061 American milled aluminum or natural brass, anodize them every color of the rainbow, and they’re available in Paul’s Webshop or from your favorite bike shop… right now.

Ride Concepts Tallac Mid

Ride Concepts took everything it loves about the Tallac and beefed it up in a robust mid-top silhouette, resulting in the Tallac Mid shoe

The Tallac Mid has tech, more protection, and more support. Designed for all day rides, hard MTB tours, trail work, and everything in between.

The PerformFit™ Wrap from the BOA® Fit System is designed to improve power transfer and efficiency while providing a micro-adjustable, precision fit you can adjust on the fly. Hungry the Big Lunch V 2.70 Hip/Shoulder Bag

Hungry, an Aussie bagmaker, makes a killer cross-body/shoulder/hip/bum bag called the Big Lunch ($210 AUD). While Cari and John were in Melbourne at MADE OZ, they picked up V 2.70 of this bag and used it on bike rides, bush walks, and city sightseeing. The V 2.70 of the Big Lunch features the Big Fidlock closure system, making entry to the bag a cinch and the massive roll top allows you to stuff it full of all sorts of stuff. Best of all, the straps tuck into the padding and you can mount it to your handlebars with ease. There’s even a secure zippered pouch accessible without having to unroll the roll-top.

All this to say we’ve got a bag problem and Hungry has our fix. Check out the V 2.70 of the Big Lunch at Hungry.
