I really loved the video of Taylor Phinney from last month and this video featuring his father, Davis Phinney is superb.

“Davis Phinney is an esteemed American cyclist and Olympic bronze medalist. Throughout the 1980’s and early 1990’s, Phinney was a familiar face on the podium, racking up 328 victories (a US record) before his retirement from professional cycling. Diagnosed with young onset Parkinson’s disease in 2000 at age 40, he went on to establish the non-profit Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s in his hometown of Boulder, Colorado, USA. This biographical short, featuring appearances by Connie Carpenter, Taylor Phinney and Kelsey Phinney, chronicles Davis’ professional career, Parkinson’s diagnosis, and transition from athlete to advocate and inspirational role model.”

Santa Cruz Bicycles continues their Syndicate series with Peaty, Greg, and Josh at the World Cup in Leogang. Talk about shredding inspiration!

Luca Shaw is fresh out of highschool and yet he nailed a top 10 finish at the DH World Cup #2 in Fort William, Scotland. Stoked to see our friend Sven Martin with a cameo to boot.

Who knew that professional cyclist Taylor Phinney enjoys painting? Or how he used it to recover from that near-ending career crash in 2014…

Winning was in his blood… This looks like it’s going to be interesting. Also, Ben Foster makes for a convincing Lance.

The road to recovery is a long one, but it’s a path worth traveling for these Syndicates.

I wish I could have found this portrait that George Marshall took to post instead, but this photo from Rapha’s MyHour page will suffice. As if anyone was doubting Wiggo, he successfully set a new hour record of 54.526km\h, sending him even more decorated into cycling’s great history books and topping off his career.
