For 10 years, TREE Bicycle Co has taken initiative to re-invent the wheel, so to speak. Their products look at the everyday and re-engineer them to be better. In this booklet, TREE lays out the history of their sprockets. It’s a good read too, so take some time on this one.

I always admire how when everyone else is doing one thing, TREE goes off and does their own version. The Ergo Nomical seat is a throwback to the early BMX seats. It’s a little wider and a little longer, much like the old Skyway Hot seats. Check out more at TREE.

This was my first Tree Splined Lite Sprocket, from 2009. Sam was selling a few copper-plated sprockets and I scooped one up, curious as to how a BMX drivetrain would feel on a fixed gear. Since then, it’s the only sprocket I’ve ridden, both on my BMX and FGFS rigs. Recently, I’ve tried out some other brands, which I’ll be reviewing shortly but I just wanted to say hats off to TREE BICYCLE CO for innovating the game and designing the first 48 splined sprockets. They’ve been making these for over 6 years now.
