Vans for Blue Lug

One of our favorite shops have teamed up with iconic surf/skate brand vans for a small capsule collection featuring two models of shoes, apparel, accessories, and a handlebar bag. Blue Lug designed a Vans collection and we’re salivating over here. It hits the Blue Lug Online Store September 30th so get ready!

Donhou Completes Available

British framebuilder Donhou has adopted a smart business model of offering stock sizing complete bikes for a killer price. The DSS1 through DSS4 offer drop bar models for just about any discipline of riding. There’s a race-pedigree DSS4 bike, or a fendered all-road, the DSS2 with a steel fork. All models are designed with efficiency in mind and take advantage of OE pricing kits, bringing the retail from £2,395.00 to around £2,595.00.

If you’re on the hunt for a new road, all-road, or gravel bike, roll on over to Donhou to see the offerings.

Rambler Luxe Lineup Wald 137 Tote and Pouch

Rambler Bags’ spring/summer is very late this year, and very limited! Because the brand’s FW23 is coming right up. This beautiful vintage barkcloth isn’t as heavy duty or wear and tear resistant as true bike bags need to be, the small bag maker decided to do a very limited run of two accessory bags that are only minorly related to bikes.

The Wald 137 bag and Pouch utilize a mix of vintage barkcloth upholstery fabric that has been reinforced with a layer of polyester and no 8 duck canvas, with pearl snap detailing and brass eyelets. This tote has two small external pockets with pearl snap closures, a larger flat internal pocket, 6mm foam padding along the bottom, adjustable straps for carrying in your hand or over your shoulder, ditty bag closure, and a pearl snap handle for keeping both straps together. A perfect fit for a Wald 137 basket, although it has no built in hardware to attach it to one. Any long strap or net will do for keeping this bag from bouncing out of your basket..

The simple pouch is, like the name implies, super simple. The SS23 Barkcloth version is not unlined like the standard version, because the barkcloth is not as heavy duty as my normal canvas. For long term stitch and button strength it was given a polyester reinforcement layer and my normal recycled liner.

Check out both bags at Rambler Bags.

Raketa Components Track Hubs

Czech Republic-based hub manufacturer Raketa Components have been churning out some delicious anodizing patterns over the past few years. Currently the brand offers high and low flange road and track hubs, all machined in the brand’s St. Petersburg, Russia facilities but these custom anodizing patterns really caught our eyes on Instagram.

Raketa offers up custom anodizing through its Contact email, so drop them a line if you’d like something special for your next wheel build.

Pearl Izumi Men’s Summit Barrier Jacket $85

Pearl Izumi continues to play with limited edition patterns and we are digging this Summit Barrier Jacket. Ultra-minimalist, ultra-packable, this is your insurance policy against unpredictable weather. The Summit Barrier Jacket packs down to the size of a baseball, allowing you to carry it with you on any ride. The lightweight fabric is windproof with a PFC-free DWR coating that sheds moisture and is made from recycled materials. The zippered chest pocket acts as a stash pocket and the hood fits nicely under a helmet. A two-way zipper allows you to regulate your temperature without needing to stop and switch layers.
