Tickets Are Now SOLD OUT! for the Second Annual WTF Bikexplorers Summit

Sorry this has sold out!

Our friends at the WTF Bikexplorers just announced that tickets are now available for the Second Annual WTF Bikexplorers Summit. The Summit looks to bring people who identify as women, trans, or femme together for a weekend of bikepacking, seminars, workshops, and camaraderie. Check out the full press release below!

Tickets are now available for the second annual WTF Bikexplorers  Summit to be held August 15 – 18, 2019 in Vernonia, Oregon. With the continued popularity of adventure cycling, we are excited to host a safe(r) space for women, trans, and non-binary cyclists to facilitate growth, encourage exploration and support new challenges.

We use our bicycles to explore, heal, and change the world we live in for the better. This year’s Summit includes a stacked schedule of sessions and workshops that focus on the bicycle as a vehicle for justice and healing. As adventurists on bicycles, WTF Bikexplorers have an intimate understanding and connection to the wild places; the paths less traveled. It’s no surprise then that the agenda for this year reflects the experiences we have when we get out there. We celebrate the abundant biodiversity that exists on this planet. We celebrate the same within the ecology of the people exploring their planet on bikes.

Located on Chinook and Clatskanie Lands, the small town of Vernonia is located about an hour drive northwest of Portland, OR. Nestled within Clatstop and Tillamook State Forest, this location provides plenty of options for pre or post Summit riding. The Nehalem River cradles this small valley town and its growing cycling community is home to the Crown Zellerback Trail (CZ) and the Banks-Vernonia State Trail. Our Summit venue, Vernonia Springs, is an eco-friendly private property of 28 acres of forestland, pastures, springs, creeks, and ponds.

This year, all Summit tickets include on site lodging, eight meals made to dietary preferences, unlimited access to sessions and WTF Bikexplorers swag. Attendees may choose between a camping (tent or car) ticket for $150 or a reserved bed in a shared yurt or wall tent for $225. More details on tickets may be found here.

The WTF Bikexplorers has also shared an About Us statement to provide transparency in what’s involved with organizing and covering the expenses of the Summit.
