Komoot Discover | Routes and Must-Sees Where You Are

Komoot keeps improving its UX and today, the brand announced the Routes and Must See options; a new map-based interface with best-in-class interactivity. Thanks to the new map-based interface, komoot users can now receive Tour recommendations in a specific area and compare them on a map that offers detailed route information at a glance.

Whether it’s their current location, a specific address (like public transport hubs, car parks and holiday accommodations) or a dropped pin placed on the map, users can now view the most popular routes that begin from their favourite locations. And to explore the community’s most popular places, as recommended by those who know them best, users can also see routes that include Highlights and find different start locations on the map.

Additionally, the new map interface includes animated direction markers that indicate route direction, coloured Tour lines that help distinguish between suggested routes and labelled start points that facilitate compare options.

Daysaver Incredible Tool on Kickstarter

“Every ride carry” multitools that hide in your steerer or handlebar end are ubiquitous these days. What’s innovative about this specific tool and why we chose to share it is the bit bundles can be customized to fit your bike. You can snap a T25 and a 4mm allen bit together if that’s all your bike has, etc. Also, the locking cam on the bar-end storage cradle is a nice touch.

Check it out in detail at Kickstarter.

Natural Atlas is a Route + Ecology App

Whether you’re hiking, bike touring, or backpacking, chances are you’ll encounter rocks, animals, and plants you are unfamiliar with. Natural Atlas can help with that by offering tools to identify geologic shifts, flora, and fauna, all while helping you navigate along the way.
