Quirk Cycles Overland Rigid 29er

Quirk Cycles just announced a new model, dubbed the Overland, designed for rigid 29er riding. Be it bicycle touring, trail riding, or yes, gravel rides or commutes. To showcase this new model, Quirk built one for a customer, Kiran.

Kiran was sold on this for his bike packing rig. The cargo capacity of the fork with rack makes it perfect for lugging your sleeping gear and anything else you care to strap on. It makes a lot of sense, too, when you want to keep those tidy Enve bars free from strap marks, plus the added control from having the weight lower down the front of the bike makes it a pleasure to ride.

For this Overland, Quirk used the following:

  • Custom Quirk Cycles frameset
  • Columbus 29r Zona Tubing
  • Ultra-Raw Finish
  • 3D Stainless steel dropouts and cluster
  • Custom Cargo Disc Fork
  • SRAM XX1 AXS Eagle Groupset
  • Enve M6 Controls
  • Stainless Steel Rack ‘N’ Roll
  • Zipp 3Zero Moto Wheelset
  • Fabric ALM Saddle
  • Schwalbe Racing Ralph/Ray tyres

We Restocked Our Arik Roper Posters $45

Late last year, we launched a capsule collection with one of John’s all-time favorite doom metal band illustrators, Arik Roper. We made stickers, bottles, shirts, and this poster, which sold out, prompting us to order more after a few requests. They’re in stock and shipping today from The Pro’s Closet.

PNS x Salomon XA-ALPINE 2 $295

When Pas Normal Studios launched its collaboration with Salomon last Friday, many of the sizes sold out immediately. Yet there are still a few sizes kickin’ around. This is yet another brand collaboration that focuses on merging cycling-specific footwear with trekking shoes. The Salomon XA ALPINE 2 for Pas Normal Studios is a part of a full drop with Salomon, including jerseys, and a hydration vest as well.

Ritchey ‘Cross Diaries

At the end of the 2022/23 cyclocross season, Ritchey rider, Ben Frederick was accepted to race the internationally revered Christmas block of cyclocross in Belgium. Expertise and passion for crafting made-to-measure bikes are at the heart of the Italian Passoni brand. Founded in the late 80’s in the pre-carbon era by Luciano and Luca Passoni, it was the first company in Europe that produced titanium bikes when off-the-shelf tubing wasn’t yet available. Every tube had to be made by starting from titanium sheets which were bended and welded into exceptional quality, bespoke bicycle frames.

A passion for the sport and its culture has always been at the very heart of Passoni’s identity as they have spent the last 30 years building stunning machines for those with a true appreciation of fine craftsmanship. Passoni has always been a brand steeped in cycling history.
