Salsa Updates the Stormchaser for 2023 $1,899

The Stormchaser is Salsa’s single-speed gravel for when the going gets muddy! Constructed from 6066-T6 alloy, the frame features Salsa’s Class 5™ VRS (vibration reduction system) for a softened ride experience on harsh roads. The frame and carbon fork come with extra tire clearance and protection plates to prevent wear from muddy tires. Those of you who have worn through carbon forks from muddy rides know this pain all too well! For braking, the Stormchaser uses Alternator Flat Mount dropouts allowing for solid single-speed setups or 1x drivetrains (with geared dropout plate, sold separately).

There are multiple frame and fork mounts, making it easy to carry extra food and water on long rides, while the rack and fender mounts add a layer of versatility.

The Stormchaser is a trusty partner for single-speed enthusiasts or gravel riders who saddle up no matter what mother nature lobs at them!

New Ornot UV Trail Shirt, Merino Tech Shirt, and Decadent Pullover

Ornot just announced a trio of new shirts for fall, including a UV-protection Trail Shirt has a UPF rating of 50 and is made from 89% Polyester 11% Lycra. The fabric is deadstock Polartec Power dry featuring an antimicrobial treatment to keep it fresh. Once the fabric is gone, it’s gone for good!

If you’re looking for a short sleeve Merino tee but are conscious of where the wool comes from, the Merino Tech Shirt is made from Australian RWS certified Merino Wool and sustainably sourced wood pulp fibers (yep). These shirts are lightweight, order-resistant, and are perfect for long tours.

If you don’t live in sunny California, then you know Fall is approaching. The Decadent Pullover is a merino top sweatshirt, meant to be thrown in a basket for the end of day, or worn around a campfire. It’s made from Polartec Power Wool and sewn in California.

Squid Bikes Dickies + Chamois $80

The Squid Bikes team loves their cut-off Dickies shorts, but they’ve taken this riding staple and upped the ante by offering up these special shorts with a chamois sewn in. So you can wear your normal undergarments under these shorts and save your bottom from getting hammered by your saddle. Roll on over to Squid Bikes to check these out in detail!

Crust Bikes Bombora Restock $1,125

The Bombora, a “gravel bike” if there ever has been one. It is a slightly sportier version of the almighty Crust Bikes Evasion toruing bike. The biggest difference between the two is the Bombora has a 68mm bottom bracket shell, so it takes a road crankset. It’s ditched the Rocker Dropout for a simple 12mm thru axle dropout. It has a slightly lower trail number, but just slightly. It is designed around a 650b/ 27.5″ wheel with a 2.3″ max tire size. The Bombora is still sporting all of the braze-ons to have some racks, fenders, or whatever you want hanging off of it. A great do-it-all bike from multi-day trips, commuting to and from work, or getting out for a fast rip.

These great bikes are back in stock at Crust Bikes today. Perfect timing for those attending the Nutmet Nor’easter! Roll on over to Crust to swoop.
