Duke Riley got this tattood on him last week by Lyam Sparkes. You’ll notice one subtle detail in the piece; the head is different. We were talking about the early American symbol and how recent political events have shifted them from their original use to a skewed and altered state. It’s not until recent times that the extreme Right has re-appropriated this symbol for their “tea bagging” posters, claiming the current government is unpatriotic. These recent events made Duke decide to change the snake’s head to an alternate version.
