Locked Up: Maurice’s Serotta Road

IMG_0420.jpg

Coming back to NYC for the first time since December has been an interesting experience on many levels. I always think it’s funny how frequently people go through new bicycles here. I’m not sure if it’s some nervous twitch or just the thrill of the hunt, but everyone’s always got a new bike. While I was visiting the Outlier showroom yesterday, I snapped a few photos of Maurice’s Serotta road bike.

Check out more photos below!

It’s a Serotta Slicker.

And it has many of the signature details typically found on Serottas of the era.

Vintage saddles that have been well used are the best!

Campagnolo Nuovo Record cranks, the Serotta logo on the chainstay and all kinds of dirt and grime grace this frame.

The winters in NYC destroy bikes but I’m sure Maurice will clean it up once all the snow and rain passes.

Because man, this is one Beautiful Bicycle.

The warm afternoon sun was setting and it was time for me to head on to see more friends.

It was the perfect light to shoot a bicycle.

Not too bad huh? A nice mix of parts, a comfortable ride and a very practical commuter. Expect to see a nice Shop Visit to the Outlier store tomorrow!
