I gotta admit, I was a little bummed when I met up with Jon to shoot his Icarus and he said that Justin Keena had already shot photos of it. How could I compete with Justin’s work? He’s a master at shooting bikes. That being said, I got to witness the first few scratches on the frame so that counts for something! Ian just updated his website with photos of this marvelous road bike. Here’s his description:
“This road bike belongs to a guy named Jon who just relocated from Boston to Austin. It is the first Icarus to implement carbon seat stays. Something I had some experience with back in my days at Seven Cycles. It also has a satin finish rather than gloss, which you can get from Circle A if you twist their arm a bit. Other highlights are an EDGE/ENVE carbon fork, internal brake routing and black feathers rather than bare stainless.”
Amazing. This is one of Circle A‘s best paint jobs. It took two attempts to get the satin finish just right and the box-lining is razor sharp. Check out more photos at Icarus and I’ll have my photos up on Monday.
