With all the hoopla surrounding the Prospect Park West bike lane, Dmitry decided to go out and document the bicycle traffic and the kinds of riders that are utilizing the bike lane. After looking through his photos on Flickr, I think it’s safe to say that no parent would let their child ride in the street like this. As long as people are observing the laws, bike lanes can offer safe haven for new cyclists. Dmitry, these are great photos. This is #BikeNYC. I like these photos a lot more than simple portraits!
