Beautiful Bicycle: Emily’s Bianchi Track Bike

em-01-PINP.jpg

One of the days I was in Austin, I met up with my friend Emily who works at Mellow Johnny’s. Em’s a rad chick and her bike makes most collectors and Bianchi enthusiasts scratch their heads. It’s a true track geo with stamped track ends and other details but then there are water bottle bosses. Waah?

Check out more photos below.

Back in the day, Bianchi made some beautiful bikes. All hand made in Italy.

Rather than sticking with Campy Pista, Emily went with White Industries’ Urban Pedals. I have these and they are hands down the best metal pedal out there.

Pantographed seat stays and classic Celeste paint.

Only her fork came drilled. This and the bottle mounts led her to do some research and in the end, it turns out this bike was a custom 1-off for a track racer who wanted to train on the streets.

Pretty rad. Sorry for the photo-quality. My camera was almost out of battery life and I had to shoot it while I had the chance. If you’re in Austin, swing through Mellow Johnny’s and say hey to Emily!
