Personally, I think mountain biking has some work to do in terms of public perception and stewardship. Right now, hikers, runners and other users view mountain bikers as trail bullies, rarely slowing down or yielding right of way. We can all do simple things like adhering to trail etiquette and following the Rules that actually matter to make a difference. Remember, we share trails with hikers, runners and Pokémon Go players so be kind, smile and slow down when you see other users on the trail.
