Last week, I went out to the new Austin skatepark to shoot photos of my boy Sterling for a photo contest. Here’s one that didn’t make the cut. It’s the first time I’ve ever shot BMX at night with a light stand and a speedlight. The flash placement seems ok (to the right), but I should have run it at 1/4 instead of full power because his face is blown out. Maybe the flash should have been facing him (to the left)? If anyone else has critiques on the photo, I’m opened to hear them. As for Sterling, he looks pretty clicked!
