I had the pleasure to race alongside Ian from Icarus Frames this weekend. We’d had brief encounters before but never spent a lot of time together. Two days of racing is a great way to get to know someone. Don’t let that scowl fool you, he’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.

One thing you’ll note on his Original Icarus is the change to the rear triangle. In order to slightly stiffen the rear end up, he chopped out the old seatstays and reinforced their attachment to the seat tube. Since he’s so busy nowadays, he had to do this last minute and by last minute, I’m talking a day before he took off for NYC.
