Traveling Tip: Dry Your Kit in a Hotel Towel
Towel and Bibs-1

I spend a lot of time on the road, with my bike and over the past few months, I’ve dialed in just how many kits I need in that time. Say, for instance, I’m going to Santa Cruz for four days. I’ll bring one kit and never have to wear it dirty because of this one trick I’ve learned over the years of life on the road.

Check out the details below!

PEdAL ED Cycling Garments: Made in Japan and Italy
RAKU-BIB-021

I feel like I haven’t had time to do much riding here in Austin this summer, but I did manage to get in a few rides in the new PEdAL ED garments I picked up in the UK while I was visiting during the L’Eroica Britannia.

PEdAL ED makes their wool cycling wear in Japan and their race-fit attire in Italy. Their look is quite unique, with some clever detailing, akin to Japanese clothing design and yet, it’s highly functional.

I’ll be putting some more miles into their Raku bibs before doing a proper review, but so far so good! Don’t miss that Okabe jersey or Kaidu jersey either – I wear my Kaidu on the cross or MTB. It’s one of the nicest jerseys I’ve worn…

At the end of the day, it’s not easy to make products domestically, yet PEdAL ED really nailed it. Check out more products at PEdAL ED!

FYXO Carrera Pantani Denim Kit Ensemble
FYXO_PANTANI-20

FYXO has literally been Since Forever. Watching Andy and Melodie push the FYXO to new boundaries and limits, both in their products and their events, like the Roobaix, is impressive to watch.

When I first met FYXO, he was riding around Japan with a Nikon, shooting photos of bikes and people at CMWC. He may not be aware, but guys like me (and Tracko for that matter) were so stoked on what he was doing in OZ.

I don’t know why I have this long-winded introduction for his new Carrera Pantani kits. Sure, they’re rad but the context is a killer. One of the first photos I ever saw of Andy, he was wearing the vintage version of this design, sitting at a payphone, in Sydney at CMWC.

Why did it take FYXO so long to make the homage kit? I have no idea, but the timing couldn’t be better. It was a pleasure to photograph this kit, in the overcast, Wintery skies on Andy’s local climb, Humevale – where he broke his neck many moons ago…

See some more shots below and scoop up one of the limited edition Carrera Pantani kits at FYXO.

Manual for Speed Explodes on the Tour de France With Incredible Awesomeness
garmin-sharp_x_manual_for_speed_france_jersey

There are insuations that I make millions of dollars a year from the cycling industry for posting high-end, limited edition, wank-resistant kits, jackets, hubs, spokes and bar tape. It’s true and Manual for Speed pays me so much money that I’m the literal Scrooge McDuck of the industry, diving into pools of Chris King headsets and PAUL Touring Cantis.

Or… I just like what companies are doing and decide to post their products, regardless of how outrageous they are. I kinda wanna wear one of these jerseys to BRUNCH BRO (sorry Emi).

Scoop up one of these completely ridiculous but somehow necessary 2014 Tour de France Manual for Speed extravaganza jerseys at Garmin Slipstream for a end of July delivery.
