Saturday was the first day that I got to ride around with my camera in hand and do “tourist stuffs”. Tony came down from Santa Barbara and we spent the afternoon at the LACMA. After geeking out on art, we headed back to GSC, where we downed some beer and bourbon… Randomness ensued.

This killer lino print was made in 2011 by an LA artist named Angelina Elise. It’s titled “My Time in Echo Parque” and is a perfect seque into warmer weather. She no longer has the print for sale, but you can see her Etsy here and her work at a forthcoming show in Long Beach called American Hicksters.
Since leaving NYC, it’s great to see people and brands that I brought together still pushing rad shit. I introduced Lamour Supreme to Mishka many years ago and that led to talks of bikes and art. Since Affinity was my LBS, I always sent the dudes to Jason for their cycling needs. Now, what? Like 5 years later, Mishka, Affinity and Lamour Supreme put this sick as fuck Kissena track bike out. Amazing.

Today was awesome. We started off with a detox ride to some hills and immediately got sucked into the madness that is SxSW. I randomly bumped into Matty B, who was working at the Handsome roasters pop up shop. After some much-needed caffeine, I headed over to Yellow Jacket, where Elle Camino Vintage Clothes had her pop up shop going and from there, it just got kinda fuzzy. I do know that I saw Lamour Supreme at Secret Walls at some point but again, the rest of the night was a blur. Check it out for yourself here.
