The Highland Trail is self-supported, long-distance cycling route of approximately 550 miles in length, through the Scottish Highlands. This event is free, with absolutely no support and no winners, yet some riders take it upon themselves to set their own ITT. Joachim rode the Highland Trail 550 on a Bombtrack Hook EXT C. Check out more information at the Highland Trail 500.
Bombtrack rider Stefan “Fish” Vis took to the 2014 Bike Transalp, a 7 day mountain bike stage race, totalling 600km with 19,000 vertical meters and 1,200 registrants. Unlike the rest of the field, Stefan was on a cyclocross bike, Bombtrack’s the Hook.
As you could imagine, a cross bike would be a better companion on the long road climbs up, but would require a bit of finesse on the downhill sections… Head over to the Vimeo page for more information on this race.
Clem Shovel took on the Tuscany Trail aboard the new Bombtrack Beyond Plus mountain bike. For now, all we get to see is this trailer video, but you can head to Bombtrack to see more photos from the race.
