Jared’s Hunter Gray n Orange ‘Cross Bike

All it takes is one ride. One soft pedal over Golden Gate Bridge, one climb up Hawk Hill, one descent down the dirt chute, one jaunt into the Marin Headlands to realize that the cyclocross bike will always be the most versatile bicycle for San Francisco.

It’s no wonder that for his first custom frame, Jared went with Rick Hunter of Hunter Cycles. Rick’s work carries a mysticism in the Bay Area. Locals love it, yet you can find his frames anywhere. He’s even big in Japan.

This popularity results in a bit of a queue, but all good things are worth the wait. How’s it go? The waiting is the hardest part?
