Film, like a road can make for many great metaphors. Sometimes though, a photo itself resonates meaning to not only the creator but the audience. I just got back a bunch of film from my weekend getaway to Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley, but this is one of my favorites…

    Maybe I’ve missed it in a previous post – do you have film developed/scanned by someone in Austin? Any digital post production? For this shot specifically, polarizing in the field or no? Any chance of a post on your film shooting habits?

    • No filter, just Portra 400, f22 set to infinity, frame and fire. I get film developed at Holland in Austin. High res scans, import them into Lightroom to keep them organized. Sometimes I’ll level out a horizon or crop slightly, but that’s it for post-processing.
