Bombtrack: The Hook Disc Cross Bike Dec 19, 2014

Here’s a quick piece from Bombtrack, featuring their new Columbus Chromor disc cross bike with SRAM Rival, the Hook. Weighing in at 22lbs for the complete build in a size medium, the Hook is designed for cross racing, trail riding and gravel rides.

    Seems heavy. The price is the important bit. If it is close to the All City Macho King then the King wins, but if it is cheaper then maybe…

      The weight is almost the same on the Macho King.

        I remember seeing Jeff from AC posting that it was a hair over 20lbs. I could be wrong. I have an MK that I built up myself that comes in at ~19, but it is single speed and has component differences with the MK compete and the this bike.

          Out of the box, they’re 21lbs, which is really good for a steel, disc cross bike. Switch to 1x, tubeless, carbon bars, post and you can get it to around 18.5lbs.
