... and focusing solely on their online store. I'm bummed to read this because I thought Kinoko was one of the nicest shops I've been to and the team at Kinoko are so rad.

At any rate, read on below and I wish the guys the absolute best!

From Kinoko:

"With a heavy heart we have made the tough decision to close our Golden Square Shop. The date of the closure will be August 29. The business has seen a lot of changes over the last few years and unfortunately the move to a much larger space added complications we felt we just couldn't overcome. We would like to thank everyone who visited our shop and all the customers who put their trust in us to build their dream bikes. We've had an amazing time at Golden Square and are very proud of everything we achieved.

Moving forward we will be putting all our efforts into our web site. We will continue to seek out brands, we will continue to work on features, photography and work on projects with talented designers. This will always be a part of what we do.

We've had a lot of questions recently about our range plan moving forward. Next season there will definitely be a emphasis on building our performance and casual clothing range but we will still continue to stock hard to find frames and components. We will be discontinuing our complete bike range.

Next season to name a few we will be seeing big new drops from Tokyo Fixed, Mission Workshop and Search & State. We will be welcoming back old friends such as Nari Furi and the Japanese line of Wild Things. And we will be greeting lots of new brands such as Attaqeur and Kletterworks. Please stay with us!

With the closing down of a shop comes discounts. Our sale will be massive. The majority of our sale will be in store only. The sale will be starting next week. More to come on this.

We are aiming to get all custom builds out of the store before we close. For the few projects which will not be complete be Aug 29 we will happily transfer the build onto a bike shop of your choosing."

After shop closure all Kinoko Vouchers will be honoured online only.
