A-train Cycles: Stainless Road Mar 5, 2014

ACF_Front

While I was in Minneapolis for Frostbike, we spent some time at Angry Catfish, one of my favorite bike shops in the US. As I’m walking around looking at all the winter apparel (we don’t get a lot of that stuff in Texas), I noticed this stunning A-train Cycles road bike on display. It turns out, Alex from A-train is a part time mechanic at the shop and built this beaut to display in the store (and to sell).

Dura Ace, Thomson, ENVE, DT Swiss… what else could you ask for? Complete as shown, the bike will cost you $9,500. Holler at Angry Catfish for ordering information.

Oh and see more of this stunning road machine below!

You know you have a problem when you see a $9,500 bike and think it seems like a good deal…

I was drooling over this bike when I was in Minneapolis a couple weeks ago, sooo nice!

Love the overall lack of color & then the two hits of red/orange on the hubs.

Reynolds, columbus, KVA? I know columbus recently launched xcr for lugs. good looking bike, like the geometry and the taller head tube.

Not bad! I like the modern compact geometry and oversized tubing combined with the lugs and steel construction. Aesthetically, I think a 27.2 seat post would have worked better, and it’d be nice if the gear cables sat a little closer to the down tube. Solid spec overall

it would be difficult to make this bike 27.2. You’re totally on point regarding cable routing.

        Why is that?
