Movers and Makers: Stevil Kinevil

I’m really into this Movers and Makers project!

“We here at Swobo and Bicycle Times are proud to announce the arrival of our latest Movers and Makers video, featuring none other than the illustrious Stevil Kinevil of All Hail the Black Market.

Stevil is an industry veteran having worked as a wrench, messenger, bike assembler, blogger, and everything in between. He’s put out zines, is an avid 7″ record collector, and a talented painter to boot.

We’ve been fascinated with his artistic output for years and he’s someone that truly inspires us to close the laptop and actually make something every now and again. Accordingly, we chose him to be part of our Volume 2 project. ”

People ask why I give FBM so much love here on the site. My answer is simple: they continue to push American production. This video from ESPN shows how Crandall and the boys keep this steel ship afloat. Head over to ESPN to check it out.

Best quote: “FBM started out as a bunch of friends hanging out… traveling and trying to do cool shit”

“You’ve been asking for it. We’ve been listening – so here it is: A quality 272 page printed keepsake of all the best of the first 6 issues of Spin Cycle and some extras that won’t be available online – including an interview with Sue Gornall, who rode the women’s Tour de France four times.

The truth is we need your help. If enough of you generous people buy the annual we will have the funds to pay for great new writers and photographers to help us carry on covering the British cycling stories you like to read.

Spin Cycle Annual 01. It’s a limited edition. Only 1500 copies are available. You have a chance to own a chunk of cycle history for just £15 plus post and packaging. If enough of you pre order now we can start shipping early May.”
