The Armstrong Lie Trailer Oct 7, 2013

This looks like something I’d actually be into seeing. Lance’s case is one of controversy, deceit and most importantly, the tainting of our Nation’s cycling legacy. The Armstrong Lie follows Lance as he trains for his eighth Tour de France victory. Follow this documentary on Facebook.

Very interesting. I think any condemnation of Armstrong for doping (in and of itself) has to be tempered by the fact that doping goes back to the very beginning of the Tour de France. He should be called heinous for claiming to be innocent as long as he did, and for exploiting the (relatively) good behavior in cycling after 1998 (the Festina scandal) to basically get the drop on everyone else. More than any of that, though, he deserves blame for the lives he destroyed by pressuring his teammates into doping, and then blackmailing them into covering for him. I think that element of the scandal often gets lost in the shuffle.
