July Austin Randomness

July has been a busy month for me. When I wasn’t on the road, I was out and about here in Austin with my Mamiya 7ii shooting portraits and other randomness. This set is heavily focused on the 4th of July party at Yellow Jacket Social Club but also includes a few bike portraits. I hope you enjoy!

Tools of the trade:
Mamiya 7ii
Kodak Portra 400

Austin is all alcohol, parking lots, sprawl, cars and pricey cannabis.

No, it’s not. But cool story bro.

I left after a year and a half. $60-65 8ths (1% buds) and constantly biking around the highways or on access roads got to me. That and the service based economy. I also had no car.

I have no idea where you lived but I take a barricaded bike path downtown and have never been honked at. Cars allow you to take the full lane and there are over 60 miles of trails on the greenbelt.
Also, there are no shopping malls downtown and the only sprawl is north of the city.
I’ve been there for three years.
