Brenton Salo: Sharky Feb 3, 2011

Portraits can get old real fast. Clean bikes with their primped owners. That’s not the case with this portrait of Sharky. From what I’ve heard, this dude is fast and that bike is anything but clean and shiny. Brenton Salo mixes up the standard portrait with some fresh new flavor. Lovin it!

i had the chance to meet this guy at the atl nacccs and he is crazy fast he also shoots film matt sharkey photography is the name of his site

  • z

that is NOT matt sharkey, just sharky. and he is not a photographer, but a messenger, and Velo is his boy’s name.
    nicest dude ever

  • DH

I’m pretty sure Matt Sharkey is a different person, consider Sharky’s name is Eric.

this guy was nothing but a blur when he’d pass at naccc’s

Well, the bike is a bit of an abortion. Deep V clincher rear, Tubie Zipp front, and the frame could use some paint. But, the dude is cut, and the tape on the top tube would indicate he actually races the bike so yea, dank.

lol @ calling the sharkbike an abortion of a bike because it needs paint. that bike has been rolling longer than you’ve been alive.

that bike is used every day, unlike some people’s pristine, custom $3000 bikes that get ridden once or twice a week.

HAH! needs paint… It’s kind of hard to keep a clean coat of paint on a 20+ year old bike that gets locked up and abused on the streets everyday. Maybe if you rode your bike more often you’d know.

that thing was scratched up when he was working on it in philly close to 7 or 8 years ago.

    and this is sharkey:

You know the paint has issues, but no matter how bad the paint job it’s still a 3RENSHO and I love her.
Hi JEFF miss you guys in PHILTHY.
