Copper-Plated MKS Sylvan Pedals Dec 7, 2010

Anodized and colored cages aren’t anything new to the cycling world. Campagnolo used black cages to signify spindle material and model. In the age of colored components, it’s nice to see a subtle and classy detail like these MKS Sylvans. With copper-plated cages, you can now match your track or road pedals to your Brooks saddle rails.

It would be hard to have these on anything other than vintage steel from Europe.

    Sexy.

    Nice.
I assume the copper will become stained and dark quite soon. Still the fresh copper color is so desirable, and patina does not necessarily hurt the bike visually.

You could probably do some copper plating yourself… need to do some testing. It should work fine on aluminium.

I beg to differ. I say It would be hard to have these on anything other than vintage aluminium from England. Like a Bickerton folder.  ;0)
