Fixed Gear London: Jacket Shots Aug 25, 2010

As promised, here’s the Fixed Gear London jacket photos for their recently-opened web store. I have one of these jackets and it’s legit as hell. Expect a review to come once it cools down here in NY. Check out the rest of the photos here.

I like what I see so far. The tech nerd in me wants to know what waterproofing system they are using. Do you or does anyone else know? It says on the site that the performance matches gore-tex 3L, which is impressive. I was under the impression that no one had really caught up to gore-tex performance-wise. Maybe I’m just a victim of marketing.

I just used mine for the first time properly today…its pissing down here in london! I always used a gore-tex jacket (costing £189)when i was a messenger…this Fixedgearlondon jacket honestly puts it to shame and is worth every penny! In proper rain (it sux in london at the moment) the jacket did everything you’d expect and more…its warm, fully waterproof, packs down small, breathable…with openable vents, numerous pockets, its got a hood, and it looks amazing. This jacket is a master piece designed for riders by riders, well done guys you’ve actually given me a reason to ride in the rain.
