Mexico Tommasini Pursuit Pista Mar 29, 2010

While I was in Affinity yesterday, Dave brought in his Mexico Tommasini pista. It’s not the best example of Tommasini’s craft, but the paintjob and geometry alone make this a Beautiful Bicycle.

The seat-tube cluster, with the panto’d and finished seatstays.

Tommasini “T” on the seat tube.

The paint compliments the elegant bend of the pursuit geometry.

Painted headbadge.

Made from the legendary Columbus SL tubing.

Nice bottom-bracket shell cutout.

Here’s the moneyshot. Dave didn’t bring the fork with him unfortunately, but this NOS beauty will build up quite well. I’d imagine he’d use C-Record and either Cinelli LA 84 TT bars or Mavic Pursuits. Dave’s bikes are all dialed to perfection. I can’t wait to see how it builds up!

i had one of those, but i gave up on trying to convince myself it wasn’t too small for me.

possibly the best quality frame i ever owned.

We just received a paired of tommasini pista forks (650) from those same frames used for the olympic team…although the tubing of these forks is Oria.
