JP Weigle is a Southern New England frame builder. His work has spanned decades and in that time, he’s developed personal relationships with his clients. Each frame or project that he takes on is custom-suited for his customer’s needs. He was also the mind behind Frame-Saver, that magical liquid that extends the lifespan of your precious steel bicycles. More information below, including a road and track pairing that he built in 1986.

After I found his Flickr account, his photos have quickly become my favorite additions to my contact’s recent uploads. The custom-drillium Tipo hub today sparked this post, which reminded me of these lugs that he recently posted. They’re so gorgeously crafted and like his frambuilding, the attention to lines just flow.

There are a ton of other examples on the JP Weigle CR site. Check them all out here. Don’t overlook the ice-cycle!

  • How is no one all over this?!? My favorite framebuilder for sure! Thanks for posting this, you get it.
