Retro-Reflectivity Jan 12, 2009

Cycling in the City is all about visibility and sometimes lights just don’t do the trick. In response to this demand, a few companies have made it their duty to create “cycling friendly” clothing that still looks cool and doesn’t make you look like the safety rangers.

Laek House recently re-upped their ELVS rims. You can read about the improvements here and keep watch for the new rims soon!

My man Zach over at Zlogblog just dropped some retro-reflective shirts as well! Check them out at his site and order them here.

Mishka also returned with their popular reflective Bear Mop shirts this season. We’ve been sending these out as alleycat prizes and to DART riders as of recent.

Of course there are more products out there that are fit for cyclists of all kinds to keep visible, I just thought these were great examples.

good timing. Yesterday I saw a reflective Velocity deep V. It looked like a normal black rim until the light hits it just right. Safety first!
